Macarena García is a Spanish actress from Madrid. She won a Best Newcomer Goya for her movie debut in Pablo Berger’s "Blancanieves" (2012). For the same role she also won the "Concha de Plata” at the 2013 San Sebastian Film Festival.
She has taken part in several television series including Amar en tiempos revueltos, for which she received a Best Supporting Actress nomination in the Actors Union Awards, Punta Escarlata, Luna el misterio de Calenda, and B&B. She also appeared in the TV movies, El pacto (Fernando Colomo) and Niños robados (Salvador Calvo).
Macarena’s work on stage includes the lead role in High School Musical, and La llamada, a play directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrosia which ran for four seasons at the Teatro Lara in Madrid, and for which she received a ‘Fotogramas’ award in 2014.
Macarena appeared in the Beatriz Sanchís movie Todos están muertos (2014).
She plays the character of Julia in the Fernando González Molina film Palmeras en la nieve which was released in December 2015. Role she got well recognized by her work colleagues who even nominated her for the Actors Union Awards as best supporting actress.
At this point Macarena is waiting for the Nacho García Velilla new movie premier, Villaviciosa de al lado, and also for The call, film directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi. At the same time she is shooting Let God come down and see it, Curro Velázquez master piece.
